Prescriptions

Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescription requests will be ready within 48 hours.

We are unable to process same-day requests except in exceptional circumstances. Only medicines that have been authorised by a doctor or nurse can be issued.

Please keep the tear-off slip attached to your prescription, this makes it easier to order the items you need. Try to order when you have about a week’s supply left and do not wait until you have run out.

You can request your repeat prescription in the following ways:

  • In person at the surgery
  • By post (include a stamped addressed envelope if you would like it returned by post)
  • Online via the link at the top of this page

Please note that children cannot collect prescriptions on behalf of other family members.

Electronic Prescribing Service

This practice is set up for the electronic prescription service.

This means that for most patients we can send your prescription to your chosen chemist directly saving you having to come down to the surgery.

To get your prescription sent to your chosen pharmacy you will have to ask reception to sign up.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
